MOSS was founded in 2004 by Morgan Adair, an FEI level dressage rider and USDF Bronze and Silver medalist. Morgan began riding horses when she was 6 years old and found she wanted to pursue her dream of becoming a professional rider.
During her years as a working student Morgan found that tack cleaning was her least favorite chore. At the end of every day there were piles of bridles waiting to be cleaned. She began thinking about how she could make it a more pleasurable experience. It then occurred to her that no one had made an aromatherapy saddle soap.
She began experimenting with different ingredients and created a product that would come to be known as Morgan's Original Scented Soap.
Morgan began using the product on bridles, boots, saddles, and even her leather car seats and purses! Eventually other riders in the barn became curious about the wonderful smells emanating from the tack room. They began using the soap themselves and found it not only to be a pleasurable aromatherapy experience, but the soap left their leather cleaner and softer than any other product they had tried!
Morgan thought the rest of the equestrian world should experience the same pleasure while cleaning their tack.
Thus, MOSS was born.
Morgan currently resides in Stonington, CT. with her husband Tom and their cat Beatrice, a.k.a. "Spitter."
